Most of the WordPress membership site software is easy to install but really complicated to configure! I've spent entire days setting up and configuring expensive scripts and at the end of the day it has only a little more functionality than my 2 Minute WordPress Membership Sites, but not much.

For example one function these professional membership site software programs have is the automatic suspension of subscribers who cancel their subscriptions.

Here's what I do: I just hit "delete" and their account is terminated. It's easy and fast.

Another function I like about these expensive membership scripts is the ability to "drip" content to their members over time.

Here's what I do: There's a WP plugin called "WPDrip" by Robert Plank. It works great. It 'drips' your content to your subscribers over time- in any way you want - daily, weekly, etc... and it doesn't matter when they joined it changes the date on each post to match the date they signed up! And WPDrip works perfect with my system! You could start a "new" class tomorrow and they would never know you created it 6 months ago ;-) To them it looks like it was delivered today!

What I've found is that most of the expensive WordPress membership software had more functions than I wanted or needed and while it was great knowing I could do all these things with them, I rarely ever used them so I was paying for a lot of functions that I didn't need.

There are currently hundreds of these scripts on the market costing anywhere from $10 or $20  dollars to thousands. Which one do you choose? The problem is once you've plugged in a payment system to any of these scripts you're stuck using it. If you start using a different software it will 'break' the connection and your recurring payments are lost!

With my free WP membership site system you will never have that problem because you can pick any payments system you want, use two or three at the same time or change them as you need and none of your subscribers will be lost when you change!
